Why HealthLedger exists
A firsthand view of the patient journey became a practical mission.
Having lived in several parts of Nigeria, our founder experienced care in public hospitals in Warri and Benin. During those earlier visits, his information moved with him in paper folders and slips, passing from one point of care to the next. It gave him an early view of how much day-to-day hospital work depends on the systems connecting people, records, services, and payments.
Years later, he encountered hospital workflows where the same journey was supported by connected digital systems. The contrast stayed with him. As a software engineer, he saw an opportunity to build around the realities of Nigerian healthcare and the way local facilities and teams work.
The team's hospital revenue-tracking work helped reduce revenue loss and improve revenue capture. That work grounded the vision in real hospital services, records, handoffs, and the relationship between the patient journey and a facility's operations.
Together, those experiences shaped HealthLedger: a Nigerian-first Hospital OS connecting patient records, clinical care, diagnostics, pharmacy, billing, reporting, and administration. It supports facilities across the healthcare system, from PHCs and clinics to specialist and teaching hospitals.
